*I will be following this post up with some technical ones detailing our technical choices and the work we’ve been doing over the past months to get here. Let me know if you have specifics you'd like to hear about!
But for now, without further ado, let me present to you our first installed prototype!
The current prototype consists of a modified Lyra-T Dev board with ESP-32 chip, another custom PCB, a lithium-ion battery and a 3D printed case.
We've already made some iterations on the case since this time, but the black gloss filament turned out better than we expected.
Building access is controlled by a mobile app (two, actually), and also configured from the web backend.
This is the culmination of many many months of work by multiple engineers, and we’re very proud to have arrived at this amazing milestone.
We’re looking forward to getting a few more prototypes out into the world, seeing how they work and making sure everyone likes them, and continuously making improvements.
Thanks for everyone’s support! Wish us luck :)
